Solyanka – a rich salty spicy soup – is one of the most popular dishes of the Russian cuisine. There are different kinds of Solyanka: with meat, sausages, fish or mushrooms. The most important ingredients are cucumber pickles or salted mushrooms. In Russian Solyanka means "salty".
Ingredients
- Bay Leaf, 5 g
- Dill, Fresh, 30 g
- Pickle, Dill, Cucumbers, Safeway, 200 g
- Stock Cube, Chicken, Knorr, 2 Cube
- Tomato Puree, Average, 20 g
- Sour Cream, Light, 100 g
- Sausage, Polish Kabanos, 75 g
- Veal, Cubed For Stew, Lean, Raw, 75 g
- Beef, Stewing Steak, Raw, Lean, 75 g
- Lemons, Raw, With Peel, 100 g
- Onions, Raw, 250 g
- Black Olives, 40 g
Instructions
Make broth. Shred the onions and fry without letting the onion brown. Add the tomato paste. Remove the skin and seeds from the cucumbers, cut into slices and boil a little. Cut the boiled meat ingredients (beef, veal, ham,sausages) into fine slices. Put the slightly fried onion and tomato paste, slightly boiled cucumbers, meat ingredients, and herbs and boil for 5-10 minutes. When serving out the olives (without the stones), sour cream, a ring of lemon (peeled), and finely chopped herbs in a plate.
